The Rancher's Woman -Weekend Writing Warrior #8sunday

Welcome to Saturday Spankings.  My teaser today is from my cowboy spanking romance The Rancher's Woman.  It is now re-released on all platforms except Amazon.  A Best Seller at  #1 in Erotica Western #5 in BDSM it was very popular on Amazon but I found some of the reviews too venomous to continue selling it there.  Set in the small Wyoming town of Hope Junction, The Rancher's Woman is Tessa and Chance's love story. Tessa has just moved to town to start a new business and Chance is the local rancher who falls for her.  My extract joins the story at Tessa and Chance's first meeting.  Chance has just rescued Tessa from a fire it looks like she caused with her carelessness.  Worried that she might be going into shock, he scoops her up and carries her into her living room. Sitting her on his knee, he calls in Janey, the EMT to check her out.  Tessa finds this too familiar and tries to wriggle of his lap demanding he let her go. To her mortification her protests are met with a warning that she lucky she's sitting on his knees not across them - a warning that is loud enough for Janey to overhear...

Tessa blushed crimson and looked in mortification at the other woman’s amused, even-eyed stare.  She listened in amazement as the pretty blonde raised her eyebrow and told Tessa.
“I’d sit tight if I were you.  It’ll be easier.”  Fishing various items out of her EMT kit, she continued in a wry tone, “Listen.  How about I save you a whole heap of time and give you the lowdown on the realities of being a woman in Hope Junction, Wyoming, population 2,673.  You’re out west now and small town western men are old fashioned.  They’re women mind them or else.  Believe me, he’s not kidding.”
Then she calmly leaned in to put a blood pressure cuff on Tessa just as if she’d said something remotely normal.
